Japanton – Chronicles of Anton in Japan!

Tonight in class we will be returning to our very foundations. This means:

• Junan Taizo
• Ukemi
• Tsuki
• Jodan/Gedan Uke
• Zenpo Geri

For more experienced students, I will do my best to show the techniques in a manner that lines up best with the Japanese instructor from which you draw inspiration.

Today in outdoor class we will be working on Bojutsu and Kenjutsu.

Tonight we will continue with Jutaijutsu and Kenjutsu.

Tonight in class, we will catch up on requests.

For today’s class, we will be working on Bojutsu, and Kenjutsu. This week’s Kenjutsu was a request.

We looked at some of the complexities of combining Happo Sabaki with Jodan and Gedan Uke last class. We will continue to work on this but using 8 of the 9 basic Kamae.

Tonight in class, we will be returning to 9th kyu to make sure we still remember the material.

The weather does not seem like it is propitious for an outdoor class. We will try again next week.
